President & Chief Administrative Officer
Mrs. Kiva Gatewood, President, and Chief Administrative Officer is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science.
Mrs. Gatewood has a natural passion and talent for interacting with and serving people. She continues this effort as she serves on several committees for basic human rights for the treatment and self-advocacy of those who suffer from mental illnesses. She co-owns Gatewood Children’s Homes with her husband, Mr. Anthony Gatewood, GCH’s Vice President.
Vice President & Account Manager
Mr. Gatewood holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He is also a former Marine. Mr. Gatewood is responsible for financial aspects, including accounting and bill-paying practices. In addition, he is dedicated to being the full-time caregiver of the Gatewood’s sons, of which one is Autistic.
Executive Director and Special Projects Manager
Mrs. Michelle Morris-Plaza, MPA is the Special Projects Manager and Director of Residential Life at GCH’s group home, Jordan House. She graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelor’s Degree in social work.
Mrs. Morris-Plaza also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbia University. She has worked for 25 years with at-risk youth and families offering foster care and prevention services in the states of New York and Virginia.
Clinical Director
Ms. Andrea Davis, M.A., NCC, LPC is the Clinical Director. She supervises and coordinates all phases of the counseling program for Jordan House, including leading group counseling activities with Jordan House residents.
Ms. Davis has a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Richmond. In addition, she holds a certificate in Developmental Disabilities and has completed group crisis intervention and adolescent sex offender training. She is a member of the American Counseling Association as well as the National Association of Certified Counselors.

Executive Director
Bachelor of Science, Master in Social Work, QMHTANC, Graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University - Graduate in Social Working. Currently completing Licensure in Clinical Social Working. Has 15 plus years experience in foster care system.
Site Supervisor
Mr. Darrell Long, M.A.Ed. holds the position of Site Supervisor for GTS, Independent Living Agency. He provides direct assistance, preparation, and supervision for the youth of the GTS Independent Living Agency program. He is well experienced in handling crisis situations, and conflict management, and proficient with intervention strategies for youth and adolescents.
Mr. Long holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Keene State College, a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Hampton University, and a Master of Education degree in Administration.
